HOW YOU CAN IMPROVE YOUR JOB INTERVIEW AS A FRESH COLLEGE GRADUATE


The new norms in labor market now are demonstration and praticalization of skills and expertise to the acceptable level of the employer or recruitment agents.  Human resources experts have carried out research on how applicants with their impeccable qualifications still fail to impress the job interviewers.  This has been traced to nonchalant approach of job seekers, new ones in particular to interview itself.  Forgetting that interview is an opportunity for you to prove what you claim you are
in your resume.   Therefore makes it have capacity to give you or make you lose the job.  This informs the reasons why you should not play with everything that can let you improve your job interview performances.

In a nutshell, the language now is to turn every attempt into demonstration of skills to really make impressive performance at job interview.  Based on this research, we have decided to have a small discourse on how to improve your job interview performance as a young school leaver.

*IMPROVE YOUR DRESS CODE SKILL

This is very important area that requires attention because at times the way we dress speaks volume of whom we are.  Therefore dress well to interview to create good and attentive image for yourself.  You can begin with an enquiry from a member of staff of the company the mode of dressing of their company. Some new job seekers don’t consider this important, they don’t mind attending interview in casual dresses.  Women to wear skirts or suits with pants and incorporate blouses that are modest in appearances.  They should put on hose that has natural toned with a pair of black sharp pumps.  And finally finish off the out with some accessories that really match.

For men, conservative approach of wearing such as grey, navy or black suit is recommended.  The short should be a solid color like blue or white and a silky looking tie to march.  The socks should match the shoes that have been polished.

*PREPARATION SKILLS

The way you prepare for interview also has element of skills which have to be acquired and applied before attending an interview. You have to arm yourself with details information about the company which you have gathered on the internet or trade magazine.  You can also gather some useful information from member of their staff.  All this effort will you to be more familiared with the company and its brands and finally influenced the employer’s decision to hire you for the job.

As part of preparation do analysis of your personal strengths and weakness that will prepare you well for their questions should be asked to tell them about yourself.

Also set specific goals for your future in terms of professional and personal goals.  In case you are asked this question.

*DEVELOP YOURSELF ON CONFIDENCE BUILT SKILL

According to Jonny Berg “the idea behind confidence skill building is to have firm grapes of knowing and believing in yourself to provide exactly what the company wants to get the job.  To develop yourself in this skill is through adequate preparation by way of personal analysis management as mentioned above.  Having ground and sound knowledge of your developmental processes and ability theory will equip you for impressive performance at the interview and eventually turn the table in your favor.  Therefore arts of confidence building skill are recommended for new job seeker like you.

*COMING TO INTERVIEW PROPER AND HOW TO HANDLE SOME QUESTIONS

The way some of the questions are answered will go a long way in influencing the positive decision at the interview.  If you are asked to them about yourself!  You must be very fluent without showing any sign of rehearsing.  However, if you are not asked this question, focus on your skills and how they are going to be assets to the company.

Make sure you give correct answers and be focus in your answers.

If you are asked why you want to work with them, your reply to this type of question should be based on your research findings about the company.  You can mention the company’s flexibility and welfare packages as motivating factors.

In case you are asked whether you have applied to other companies, you have to be honest in answering this question.  Also be brief so that you will not lose focus.

In handling question like “who do you know in the company?”.  Try and find out from their staff because some companies policies don’t encouraged this.  It may block your chances.

Another question requires watching out for is “What salary should expect to be paid?”  You have to be careful as is capable of ruining your chances.  Your reply can be depending on the job details.

You may also be asked if you believe in team work.  Your answer should be affirmative because company work is a team work.  Anybody who is nopt prepared for the teamwork will have no place in a company.
